Intro
With the GoCardless API, it’s easy to build a partner integration allowing your users to collect and manage their payments in a way that’s seamlessly integrated with your product.
Before setting your integration live, it must be technically certified by a member of the GoCardless team.
GoCardless partners with hundreds of platforms and we have insights into what makes a great user experience. We’ve collated this into a set of minimum requirements which we believe are the minimum bar for a great integration and to set our Partnership up for continued and future success.
Technical certification ensures that your partner integration supports all these features and functionality and provides your users with a best in class experience. Completing the process also ensures you have access to and are benefitting from, our latest product features.
Once your partner integration has been technically certified and has gone live, it will be listed and promoted on our partner directory.
How to Complete Technical Certification
Before getting started we recommend reading through our ‘Guide to technical certification’ (at bottom of this page) to fully understand our requirements before testing your integration in our Sandbox environment.
Sandbox environment
In our sandbox environment we provide scenario simulators which allow you to manually trigger certain cases so you can test how your integration responds. You can find more information on this here.
We also provide test bank details so that you can set up and test payments without having your own bank account. More information on this here.
Creating a live account and partner app
Once you’ve completed testing, you need to create a live GoCardless account and partner app. At this point, you’ll be prompted to submit your details and join our Partner Programme, gaining access to our Partner Portal.
You can complete the certification process within the Portal, submitting your answers and comments against each requirement before submitting for review.
