Australia - Supporting documents

The photo/document must:

  • Be clearly legible in its entirety - take care to avoid glare from camera flashes or cutting off part of the document

  • Be currently valid i.e. in date (not expired)

  • Be signed & dated (where applicable)

  • Be in full colour - we cannot accept black & white documents 

  • Show the full document (i.e. not cropped)

Please note: If it's a photocopy or a scan of the photo/document then it needs to be certified.

Verification Type Document Type Requirements

Identity

  • Passport

  • Driving licence

The document will need to display your full name, date of birth and document expiry date.

Address

  • Utility Bill

  • Bank Statement

  • Council Tax invoice

The document will need to display your full name, residential/home address and a date of issue within the past 6 months. 

This document should be issued by a credit agency (e.g a bank or utilities provider) or a government authority.

Bank account

  • Bank statement

  • Screenshot of online banking

  • Bank account opening letter

  • Official letter of proof from your bank (confirming the account holder name and account details)

The document will need to display the account name, account number and bank state branch (BSB) number and a date of issue within the past 6 months. 

Trust

  • Copy of a Trust deed

The Trust deed is a legal document that should clearly outline the relationship between the trustees and the beneficiaries.

We would require the names and dates of birth of the beneficiaries to be added to the UBO (Ultimate beneficial owners section) of the dashboard. 
We’ll also need to ensure that either the corporate or individual trustee has been entered into the trustee details section of the dashboard. 

If dealing with a unit trust, we will need to ensure the names of the unit holders are entered into the UBO section instead. 
Director 

  • ASIC Company Extract / document

  • ASIC approved information broker documents. A full list of information brokers can be viewed here

The document must display the full company name and clearly display the names of the directors. 

All director names should be entered under the ‘Director details’ section of the dashboard. 

Extracts should be dated within the last 12 months. 

Company check

Any ASIC Company Extract / document. We may also accept a document from any of the information brokers. 

We can verify whether a company, trust or sole trader is active via ABN lookup here.

If the company, trust or sole trader is not active, then we will be unable to process payments for inactive organisations and will need to advise the merchant accordingly.
