- I use GoCardless via a 3rd party Partner integration. Can I take payments from overseas customers?
To collect payments from overseas customers you will need to be able to support your customers in their native languages and have a bank account that can accept payments in the same currency as being charged.
For UK (Bacs) payouts, your bank account will need to be able to accept Bacs Faster payments if it's a UK account, or Bacs International payments if set up outside of the UK.
For Eurozone (SEPA) payouts your bank account will need to accept SEPA Credit transfers.
For Swedish (Autogiro) payouts a Swedish bank account is required that can accept Leverantörsbetalningar.
Yes, providing your bank account meets the payout criteria as outlined above.
Please note, some banks may charge to receive international payments. Please check with your bank if you are unsure about this.
You will receive a payout in the same currency as the payment was collected in. If you are collecting payments in multiple currencies you will receive separate payouts for each of those currencies.
To add another region to your GoCardless account, please submit a ticket with your request.
Please include the business name and email address registered to your account, the region you would like to add, along with confirmation that you can support your customers in their native language(s).
You can add an additional bank account in the same way as you did when adding your first bank account, via the Settings > Company info section of your dashboard.
You can find out how to do this here.
Note: We will need to have enabled the region on your account before you can add your bank account for the new region. Providing this has been done, you will see an option to add a payout account for this new region.
This will depend on which Partner you are using us with and whether they have enabled multiple payment schemes in their integration. We recommend getting in touch with the Partner directly to enquire as to whether this functionality is available.
