New Zealand - Supporting documents

The photo/document must:

  • Be clearly legible in its entirety - take care to avoid glare from camera flashes or cutting off part of the document

  • Be currently valid i.e. in date (not expired)

  • Be in full colour - we cannot accept black & white documents 

  • Show the full document (i.e. not cropped)

Verification Type Document Type Requirements

Identity

  • Passport

Please note: We are not able to accept a New Zealand driving licence. 

The document will need to display your full name, date of birth and document expiry date.

Address

  • Utility Bill

  • Bank Statement

  • Council Tax Invoice

The document will need to display your full name, residential/home address and a date of issue within the past 6 months.

The document should be issued by a credit agency (e.g a bank or utilities provider) or a government authority.

Bank account

  • Bank statement

  • Screenshot of online banking

  • Bank account opening letter

  • Official letter of proof from your bank (confirming the account holder name and account details)

The document will need to display the account name and account number.

Director

  • NZCO (New Zealand Companies Office) Company Extract / document

  • NZCO extracts can also be downloaded directly from the company register here

  • We may also accept documents issued by NZBN as the two bodies (of NZCO and NZBN) are interlinked within the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment within the NZ government 

The document must display the full limited company name and clearly display the names of the directors. 

All director names should be entered under the ‘Director details’ section of the dashboard. 

Extracts should be dated within the last 12 months. 

Company check 

  • Any NZCO or NZBN Company Extract / document. 

We can verify whether a company is registered via NZCO here.

We can also verify a NZ registered company by checking their status here.

If the company is not registered (removed), then we will be unable to process payments for organisations in this status and will need to advise the merchant accordingly.
