If you have been using GoCardless on its own or with another integration, and have recurring payment plans or subscriptions setup, there is a chance that when connecting to GoCardless for Xero you will raise duplicate payments. This is because payments will be scheduled from your invoices as well as from your existing Plans or Subscriptions.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that all subscriptions existing in GoCardless should be cancelled when setting up GoCardless for Xero. Our Support team can help you with this and have these cancelled silently, without notifying your customers, so that they are not aware that any changes have been made.
Please raise a ticket with our Support team if you would like existing subscriptions created in the GoCardless dashboard to be silently cancelled.
