To get intelligent retries running for payments that are created via a connected app, you will need to make sure intelligent retries are enabled in that application. Once you’ve switched it on, your failed payments will be automatically retried according to the schedule you’ve configured in your GoCardless dashboard.
Which of our partners support intelligent retries?
Currently intelligent retries is available using the following partners:
- Gestión Direct
- GoCardless for Xero - If you are using GoCardless for Xero you don’t have to do anything as long as intelligent retries are switched on in your GoCardless dashboard
- Safe Online Billing
- SwimClub Manager
- TAIA - Live
- Tenant Billing
- ZenDebit Live

What if the partner I use doesn't support intelligent retries?
If you have switched on intelligent retries in your GoCardless dashboard, but the partner that you use to create your payments doesn't support the feature yet, then any payments created through the partner software will not be automatically retried. If you were to create any payments on the GoCardless dashboard, these would be automatically retried if they failed.
