Creating a sandbox API access token (API users only)

To enable your integration to make requests to the GoCardless API, you’ll first need an access token. 

For the purposes of testing your integration with GoCardless during the build phase, you’ll want to generate your access token via your sandbox account.

(If you haven’t already created your sandbox account, please first do so here).

To create an access token for testing

1. Click here to open the Create access token page in your sandbox account

(you can also access this page via the Developers tab in your sandbox account, under Access tokens)

2. Enter a name for your access token
3. Select Read-write access
4. Click Create access token
