An event is created each time your payments, authorisations or your payouts change status. With events you can view a detailed history of all payment activity on your account, and break it down by what happened and when.
Types of events could include a subscription being created, a payment being cancelled, a mandate being submitted, or a refund being paid.
Events are a way to track your actions using GoCardless. You can filter these by type, action or date.
Filtering the events page to view specific resources
For example, if you wanted to see a list of payments created last week, click on ‘All resources’ and choose ‘Payments’. Click on ‘All actions’ and choose ‘Created’, then click on ‘Any time’ and choose ‘Last week’:
You’ll then be able to click on the specific event you’d like to check, which will take you to view the resource that the event relates to.
You’re also able to export a list of your Events to a CSV file, which will generate a spreadsheet that includes all of the filtered events. Simply click the Export button at the top right of the events list.
This downloads a CSV file to your desktop, enabling you to open a detailed, searchable list of events created in your GoCardless account. Your export will be emailed to you when it’s ready, or alternatively, you can open the export box in the bottom right of your screen and download the CSV file directly from there.
