FAQ for GC4QBO shutdown

Why is the GoCardless for QuickBooks app shutting down?
To provide the best GoCardless experience, we are focusing on our core Dashboard product. From 15 October 2025, GC4QBO will no longer be available.
What happens on 15 October 2025?
On the termination date, you will no longer be able to log into the GoCardless for QuickBooks marketplace app in Australia, United States and Canada.
- Scheduled payments created through GC4QBO will not be processed.
- Payments will no longer sync or reconcile in QuickBooks Online.
- The GC4QBO app will be removed from QuickBooks Australia, United States and Canada marketplaces.
No other country will be affected.
How can I continue collecting payments with GoCardless?
You can continue to collect payments directly through the GoCardless Dashboard. The Dashboard lets you set up one-off and recurring payments, manage customer mandates, and track your payouts in a single place. This will ensure continuity of service once GC4QBO is no longer available.

What if I want to keep my payments connected in QuickBooks?
If you prefer to manage payments inside QuickBooks, you will need to switch to another provider. QuickBooks maintains an app marketplace where you can browse and connect with alternative payment services that may suit your needs. You can find more details on the QuickBooks App Store.
What happens to my existing customers / mandates?
All mandates you have already created in GC4QBO will remain valid in GoCardless. You will still be able to view and manage your mandates here in your GoCardless Dashboard.
The automatic invites to set up a mandate will stop working.
If you need to invite a new customer to pay with Direct Debit, you can do so manually from the Dashboard.
What happens to my payments once the app is closed?
On 15 October 2025, all payments that you have already created, collected, paid out or are submitted will be processed and paid out. Any unscheduled and queued payments won’t be created. You can see all your payments and their status in this page of the GoCardless Dashboard.
The automatic payment creation and scheduling will stop working.

How do I reconcile payments and payouts without the app?
After 15 October 2025, reconciliation will need to be done manually. The steps are:
- Find your paid-out payments once your click payout details in the GoCardless Dashboard
- Manually record the payments in QBO to mark the corresponding invoices as "Paid in full
Does my agreement with GoCardless change?
No. If you continue using GoCardless after the termination date, your existing Agreement with us remains valid.
If you no longer wish to use our services, you may terminate your Agreement by giving written notice in line with the terms you already have in place. If you have more questions, please email us at partnershipsupport@gocardless.com or contact your account manager.
What happens to my data after the app shuts down?
All of your customer information, mandates, payment history, and payout records remain securely stored in GoCardless.
The closure of the QuickBooks app does not affect how we process or protect your data. You will continue to have full access to this information through your GoCardless Dashboard.
We do not delete or remove your data as part of this change, and our privacy and security standards remain the same.
