Creating a GoCardless account and connecting it to QuickBooks Online
You can create a new GoCardless account here or from the QuickBooks app store.

Setting up customers to pay you via GoCardless
You can offer GoCardless Direct Debit as a payment option for your QuickBooks customers by asking them to complete a Direct Debit mandate form. Watch the video or read about how to do this here. You can also import existing GoCardless Direct Debit mandates into QuickBooks.
Collecting a GoCardless payment

Payment timings with QuickBooks
GoCardless schedules payments on the due date of your QuickBooks invoice and the invoice is marked as 'Paid'. The payment is collected from the customer's bank account 3 working days later. Once successfully collected, it is paid out to your bank account 2 working days after that. Watch the video for an overview.
Retrying a failed payment
If a payment fails, you can be retry collecting it within QuickBooks by adjusting the invoice due date to a later date and then saving the invoice again. Watch the video to see how to do this.
Reconciling a GoCardless payment in QuickBooks Online
On the invoice due date, the invoice is marked as 'Paid' within QuickBooks and the amount is transferred into the undeposited funds account. Then on the payout date, the payout amount is transferred to your business bank account, net of the GoCardless fees, which are recorded to the fee account you chose. Then, the payout amount is ready to be reconciled against your statement. Watch the video for a full overview.
