1. My country isn’t listed on the company verification form. Why?
GoCardless is currently only available in some European countries, and isn’t available outside of Europe. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to serve you just yet if your country isn’t listed.
We are looking at expanding further afield and hope to be able to on-board merchants from other countries in the future. At present though, we don't have a concrete road map for when we will be accepting sign-ups from new geographies, so unfortunately aren’t yet in a position to give more information herein.
2. Why can’t I sign-up as a partnership and when will this be available?
Unfortunately, we're not yet able to on-board partnerships. The reason for this is that the verification obligations we are required to undertake are a bit more involved, and we don't yet have an on-boarding flow which allows us to complete these checks.
We'd like to look into building a way of doing this in the future, but don't currently have a timeline for when this may be available and it's not on our roadmap at the moment.
If you’d like to register your interest in signing up to GoCardless as a partnership, please email help@gocardless.com and we’ll aim to get back to you when we can on-board partnerships.
NOTE: this relates only to General Partnerships and Limited Partnerships. If you’re collecting payments as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), please sign up as a limited company and enter your company registration number.
Why do you need my (the director’s) home address?
In line with our regulatory requirements, we must verify a registered director's identity and part of this includes verifying their home address.
Please note that this applies whether you are collecting payments as an individual/sole trader, limited company, sports club, charity, or other legal entity.
